Caleb Smith
Caleb was instrumental in guiding GC Logistics, Trace Advisory Group, and Kalos Support Services through brand development, proof of concept, early-stage funding, and securing sustainable long-term revenue streams. He remains active in the management of several of these businesses.
Caleb served as the firm’s lead representative on the acquisitions of Quality Transport Services of Arizona LLC in 2018 and Phoenix EI Transportation Inc. in 2020. He was responsible for the 2022 divestiture of U-Save Auto Rental of America, Inc. to Green Motion International and filled a critical role in negotiating and structuring the partnership between Sonoran National Insurance Group, Peakstone Financial Services, and Higginbotham Insurance Agency in 2023.
As a result of the Refuge Group’s partnership with Higginbotham, Caleb joined the agency as a director to help support the development and growth of insurance programs for small business affinity groups. Caleb is a licensed insurance broker in all 50 states.
Previously, Caleb worked for Align Technology (the maker of Invisalign) as a Financial Analyst supporting Worldwide Commercial Operations and Global Marketing and started his career as an Analyst at Highland Associates, a leading independent institutional investment adviser in Birmingham, Alabama.
Caleb earned his undergraduate degree at Samford University, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Finance concentration and was honored as the top finance graduate in his class.
Caleb is an active member of Fondren Church in Jackson, Mississippi. He serves on the boards of Southern Outdoors Unlimited a non-profit dedicated to facilitating opportunities for children with disabilities to experience the outdoors and the Phoenix Club of Jackson, a group of young professionals who support the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Mississippi through fundraising and awareness campaigns. Caleb is also proud to sit on the Samford University, Brock School of Business, Risk Management and Insurance Advisory Board. Caleb, his wife Kate Lee, and their four-year-old lab Raleigh live in Jackson, Mississippi.
