Christy Stephens

Mrs. Stephens is a seasoned leader and entrepreneur, with a career marked by success across various roles and responsibilities. In addition to her role with the Refuge Group, Christy has served as the Director of Auto Rental Resource Center (ARRC) since 2016. While at ARRC she has delivered 40% membership growth and 60% expansion of net income. Christy's ability to forge connections and drive results has been instrumental in ARRC's sustained success.

In 2008, Christy took on the corporate responsibility of helping U-Save franchisees understand and implement responsible risk management programs. In the process, she increased the size of Peakstone Financial Services, Inc.’s rental fleet insurance book by more than 60% across all 50 states. Christy’s efforts with Peakstone gave the organization the scale to negotiate tailored risk retentions, risk purchasing groups, and captives for more than 5,000 franchised and independent car rental operators.

Christy's deep rental industry experience extends even further, encompassing a period from 1994 to 2008 when she co-owned and operated one of the largest car rental franchise locations in the United States. As an owner-operator, she demonstrated a deep understanding of risk management, fleet purchasing, and overall sales strategy. Her influence and leadership on a local level were key to developing the operating model that allowed U-Save Car & Truck Rental and associated brands to become one of the largest car rental organizations in the world.

Christy graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi, and she is a 50-state licensed insurance broker. Christy and her husband spend as much time as possible with their two daughters and are members of Broadmoor Baptist Church in Madison, Mississippi.
